Why can't I use the Team field in Jira dashboard gadgets?

Jira's native gadgets (Pie Chart, Issue Statistics, Two Dimensional Filter Statistics) do not list the Atlassian Team field as a statistic type, and JQL cannot ORDER BY it. Atlassian tracks this as JRACLOUD-87808 and JRACLOUD-87800, open since 2020. This app's Team Statistics gadget groups any JQL by Team as a workaround.

How do I search Jira issues by team name instead of team id?

Use issue in teamIn("Team Name"). Native JQL needs the team's UUID, for example "Team[Team]" = 36885b3c-.... The app resolves names, including a trailing * wildcard, to ids for you.

How do I find Jira issues with no team assigned?

Use issue in noTeam(). Combine it with statusCategory != Done to see only open unowned work.

Does the app work with Jira Plans (Advanced Roadmaps)?

Yes. Plans writes the same native Team field that the app reads. Team Statistics is a common companion to a Plan because Plans has no dashboard gadgets.

Does it work in Jira Service Management queues?

Yes. teamIn() and noTeam() work in queue JQL. myTeams() for per-agent queues is planned and depends on an Atlassian API change (JRACLOUD-92072).

Can it show who is in a team, or notify a whole team?

Not yet. Atlassian does not allow Marketplace apps to read team member lists (tracked as JRACLOUD-92072; the Teams product team has said they aim to address it by the end of 2026). The app can show team size and whether you are a member. Member-level features ship when the platform allows them.

Can it change team colours or icons in Jira?

No. Apps cannot restyle Jira's native interface. Requests for team colours belong on JRACLOUD-93878.

Does it work with team-managed projects?

Yes. The Team field, JQL functions and gadget behave the same in team-managed and company-managed projects. Story points are read from Story point estimate in team-managed projects.

Does any data leave my Atlassian site?

No. The app runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform with no external servers and stores nothing. It reads issues as the person viewing them, so Jira permissions are always respected.

How much does it cost?

Which Jira products does it support?
