A circular dependency is a chain that returns to where it started: SHOP-15 blocks SHOP-16, SHOP-16 blocks SHOP-17, SHOP-17 blocks SHOP-15. Nothing in the loop can start, and Jira does not warn when one is created.
- The link that closes the loop is drawn as a red dashed arrow; the rest of the loop keeps its normal colour.
- A Circular dependencies line under the graph lists each loop as keys (up to ten).
- Loops are detected on the chosen link type only.
- With Hide Done issues on, a loop that passes through a finished issue is not reported.
To fix one, open the issues in the loop in Jira and remove or reverse the wrong link, then select Refresh.
